University of Stirling Scotland

The University has a reputation for blending arts and science – a combination that is represented on its Stirling campus through the use of sculpture and visual arts.

Located around Stirling, at the geographical heart of Scotland, and with superb links to the rest of the UK and beyond, the University is nestling beneath the Ochil hills, on the site of the historic Airthrey estate, which covers 310 acres and includes an 18th century castle, the Hermitage woods, a loch, a golf course and a 50 metre swimming pool. Its reach however goes beyond this and all the way to campuses in Inverness and in Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis.

There are more than 12,300 students on campus. This comprises 8,800 undergraduates and 3,500 postgraduates – from over 100 nationalities. This is made easy due to it being close to the capital, Edinburgh, and to three international airports.

The University is also home to leading researchers and scholars attracted by the environment, the facilities and the studentcentred approach. They and the students enjoy a commitment to innovation from the University that ensures that technology is deployed effectively to aid study and research.
