Royal Veterinary College Yumove
The Queen Mother Hospital for Animals orthopaedic specialists, along with the RVC’s Clinical Investigation Centre, are conducting a study investigating the efficacy of the supplement Yumove in reducing the clinical signs associated with canine osteoarthritis.
Osteoarthritis is a common degenerative disease seen in dogs which can be difficult to manage. The disease process is often frustrating for clients and veterinarians alike. It can cause stiffness, reduced mobility and gait abnormalities in pets, and reduce both their activity and quality of life.
The study uses state-of-the-art activity monitors, worn on the dog’s collar, to assess the effect of Yumove on dogs that are visibly lame, over the age of two years and greater than 10Kg in weight.
Yumove has been specifically formulated to include glucosamine, chondroitin and Omega 3 from green lipped mussel, which all work together to increase joint mobility and provide an anti-inflammatory effect.
If you have a case that may be suitable for this study, please contact the Clinical Investigation Centre nurses on 01707 666605 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
