New student WiFi services live across MMU

A new network for students in halls

OVER the summer, IT Services upgraded all of the University wireless services. There is now a dedicated wireless network that’s just for MMU students, so you should notice some significant improvements in the reliability and speed of your connection.

The new network is available across all University campuses. Just select MMU-Student from your device and login using your usual MMU ID and password to login. If you have any problems then there is a range of support and guidance available on the IT Services website.

A new network for students in halls

This weekend sees the launch of a completely new network for students moving into halls of residence. Studentcom offers a high speed broadband connection and easy access to online entertainment from any internet-enabled device, either by plugging in directly or by accessing up to 30MB WiFi from anywhere within the halls.

Visiting staff and students from other universities can now use Eduroam whenever they’re at MMU. It’s a secure, wireless internet connection available across the University.

As an MMU student you can benefit from Eduroam too. Whenever you’re in the vicinity of any of the other participating educational institutions around the world you can now access the internet using your MMU username and password.
