Loughborough University Bus
Buses and coaches
Buses are great way to get around the town without having to jump into your car. Using buses over cars can have a huge environmental impact.
Free bus travel
The 5 minute campus shuttle service provides free travel for all staff and students across the University campus. Since its launch in April 2012 there have been over 1.1 million trips within campus. That’s an average of just under 40,000 trips per month. Do you know what free access you have? Did you know your visitors can travel for free within the campus?
Find out what free travel you are eligible for.
There is a good local bus service and access to the national bus network if you need to get away on the cheap. Below is a selection of local services providers.

A few key facts
• Just one double-deck bus can take 75 cars off the road, giving a potential annual carbon saving of 67,200kg.
• If every bus took just one more car driver we could save up to 1.2 million tonnes of CO2 per year
Additional Shuttle Bus Across Campus
It is appreciated that the summer programme of works on the campus is placing greater pressure on the number of car parking spaces on East and Central Parks.
An additional Staff only shuttle bus service will be run over the summer to link the large areas of parking available on Holywell Park and West Park to the rest of the campus.
The bus will run from Holywell Park to the Students Union on a continuous loop between the hours of 7.30-9.30 am and 4-6pm from approximately every 15 minutes.
A timetable is available at /www.lboro.ac.uk/sustainability/travel/buses-coaches.html and stops include Holywell, Wolfson, Library, Admin 2 and Students Union.
The bus will be marked up as the Holywell to Students Union Car Park Shuttle.
