This programme is aimed at individuals who hold an undergraduate degree in sports science, dietetics, or nutrition and are now looking to build their specific knowledge in sports nutrition. The programme strategy is based on a low student : staff ratio that allows a close level of academic and pastoral support within a friendly and informal atmosphere. Teaching takes place in small groups and draws upon the world-class facilities in our award-winning Tom Reilly Building. You will benefit from links with the sporting industry that are fully integrated in the work we do with sporting professionals, teams and related businesses.

The School is proud of its long-standing tradition in innovation and excellence in the field of Sport Science. We initiated the first undergraduate honours degree course in the UK for Sport Science in 1975, and have since developed a world-wide reputation for leading edge sport science teaching and research.

Our five taught postgraduate degrees in Sport Psychology, Sport and Clinical Biomechanics, Sport Physiology, Clinical Exercise Physiology and Sport Nutrition offer excellent career prospects within elite sport, the health sector, education and other areas.

We also offer opportunities to complete MPhil and PhD research across a wide range of sport science disciplines, where you would be working alongside nationally and internationally respected academics based in our acclaimed research groups.
