Replacement certificate – graduates only (post 92 award only

Description

Students who graduated from LJMU after September 1992 can purchase a replacement certificate if their original has either been destroyed or lost. For certificates prior to September 1992 please email awards@ljmu.ac.uk for further information.

Detailed Description

The certificate which the University issues as proof of the conferment of an award is a unique and valuable document. Under no circumstances will the University issue additional copies of replacements to any applicant holding an original certificate. Replacement certificates have precisely the same standing as the original which they replace, are produced in the format currently in use and will not be a facsimile copy of the original. A charge of £50 will be made for this service by LJMU.   Following the completion of the online payment, applicants will receive confirmation via an email.  The email will include a manual application form, which you must print off and return to LJMU when completed.  Please note, the application form, must also be counter signed by a Commissioner for Oaths / or Practising Solicitor / or Notary Public, in accordance with the Statutory Declaration Act, 1835 (there is likely to be a charge for this service).

Description

A transcript is a list of modules undertaken, credit value and grades achieved during each academic period (only where this information is available from the University records). The overall award and result obtained will also be indicated. If the University is unable to provide you with a transcript then a letter verifying your award will be provided.

Detailed Description

The transcript which the University issues to students is a unique and valuable document, which should be carefully preserved by its recipient.

A duplicate will only be issued at the discretion of the University and the University reserves the right not to issue a duplicate or to specify reasons for its decision.

This form is to be used only by past students to request a copy of their transcript of their studies and therefore can not be used by a third party.

A charge of £25 is made for this service.

The applicant must provide payment via a credit or debit card prior to the application being processed.

The University may check any applications with a fraud prevention agency

Confirmation of award, 3rd party only (post 92 award only)

Description

This service should only be purchased by potential employers, recruitment agencies etc, it should not be purchased by LJMU alumni.

Detailed Description

The letter for the confirmation of an award is a summary of specific information regarding a student’s award and period of study.

A letter of confirmation can be issued to either a student or a 3rd party.  In accordance with the Data Protection act, to release information to a 3rd party a disclaimer from the student must be provided giving permission for the information to be release.  .

 

Liverpool John Moores University can provide confirmation to third party of the award of a degree.  In order to comply with the Data Protection Act 1998 all requests from third parties must:

  • Be made in writing (on headed paper and signed) and
  • Be accompanied by written and signed consent from the data subject i.e. the student
