How to use ebooks on mobile devices (eg Kindle, Sony e-reader, iPad)

Chapters from books on Cambridge Core, Oxford Scholarship Online, SpringerLink and Taylor & Francis Online platforms can be downloaded in PDF format to e-readers including the Kindle.

All ebooks from the Dawsonera platform can be downloaded to PC, Mac, laptop, memory stick, Android or iOS mobile device. You can choose whether to download these for 1 day or 2 days. They cannot be downloaded to Kindle. Further details for downloading to Android and iOS devices are available from this blogpost.

Some ebooks from the MyiLibrary platform can be downloaded for 3 days to PC, laptop, Sony ereader, Nook, iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch and Android devices, but not Kindle. See help with downloading from MyiLibrary, including a list of downloadable titles, or watch our YouTube video on downloading MyiLibrary ebooks.

Some ebooks from the Ebook Central platform can be downloaded for 3, 7, 14 or 21 days, depending on the title. They cannot be downloaded to Kindle or Kobo, but are accessible on most other devices. However, all books allow up to 60 pages to be downloaded as a PDF permanently, and this can be read on all devices, including Kindle. Further details on downloading can be found here on the Ebook Central website.

Ebooks on other platforms can’t be downloaded although it is possible to print or copy material within normal copyright restrictions.
