Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Estates & Facilities will be responsible for the delivery of a customer centred estates service underpinning the University’s strategic and operational priorities. You will take full responsibility for leading our newly combined directorate of estates and campus management (130 staff) in conjunction with leading our ambitious capital development programme (£260m).  This is an exciting time in our history with the new Director taking a prominent role within Birmingham’s Eastside Regeneration scheme.

Person Specification

We are seeking an exceptional leader with a proven track record of developing and implementing property strategies across comparably large scale, diverse and technically complex portfolios.  Positive, driven and a natural collaborator, you will possess excellent commercial acumen and communication skills with the intellectual confidence to succeed in a leading University. This role will suit professionals who are adept at providing leadership at the wider strategic level in conjunction with proven operational expertise in leading a culture of ‘best in class’ quality and innovation.
