Xavier Guillaume University of Edinburgh
Xavier recently joined the University of Groningen’s Department of International Relations and International Organization. He has previously held positions at the University of Edinburgh and the University of Geneva. He holds a PhD from the University of Geneva and has taught about and researched numerous theoretical and empirical issues such as the identity/alterity nexus in IR theory, Japanese national identity formation from the 16th to the early 20th century, citizenship and security, colours and security, silence and security, everyday and resistance in international relations, processual approaches in IR theory, or representation of Islam in the west.
