UNIVERSITY OF ESSEX VOLUNTEERING TEAM

www.essexstudent.com

The Students’ Union at the University of Essex has a team of staff who co-ordinate a wide variety of voluntary projects in the community. Known as the V-Team, they aim to help you get out there and make a difference. Whether you’d like to design a website for a charity, coach sports, mentor a young offender or get stuck in with some practical conservation work, there are lots of ways to get involved. The V-Team is a great way to gain new skills, improve your CV and have lots of fun! The V-Team also supports student-led projects and places students in local charities that need volunteers. You can get involved in a one-off project, or make a regular commitment of anything from one day a month to one day a week. Most projects are able to be flexible about exams and holidays, when you might find it more difficult to make time. If you have an idea for an event or project you want to run, then you can receive support and funding to do it if you are a student at the university. Contact us at vteam@essex.ac.uk
