You will learn from industry experts; respected organisations such as Smithers Rapra Technology Ltd (an international organisation with more than 85 years of experience providing industry with information and technical support on all aspects of rubber and plastics); and EOS GmbH (a key technology supplier for Rapid Manufacturing) who sponsor the awards and transfer their hands-on engineering knowledge into our programes.

Our multi-million pound facilities are internationally recognised for their cutting-edge industrial hardware and software. We support international businesses with the development and commercialisation of new product ideas through our state-of-the-art engineering equipment.

You will learn from industry experts who transfer their engineering knowledge into the classroom. Our courses cover a wide spectrum of engineering; whichever you choose to concentrate on, you will find that engineering provides a challenging and rewarding career. All of our courses have been designed to allow you to develop skills that enable you to manage engineering projects.

We provide you with the opportunity to acquire skills for creating innovative solutions to practical problems and realise your full creative potential in engineering design. We are proud that our programmes are industry-focused, and cater for all levels of entry into engineering. We offer BEng (Hons) and MEng degree courses. Once on a BEng (Hons) course you will benefit from a common first year that allows you to experience all of our areas of engineering; enabling you to choose your specialisation in your second year. Our close relationship with industry enables us to offer industrial placement opportunities for students wishing to take the sandwich route through their course. For those students already in appropriate employment the Foundation Degree (Science) Engineering provides an accelerated start to a BEng (Hons) degree. If you do not currently meet the minimum requirements for entry on an engineering course, you can gain access via our Technology Foundation Year.
