University of Stirling Accommodation
At the University of Stirling, we appreciate that moving away from home can be a daunting prospect. That’s why we prioritise all students in their first year of study for accommodation.
We prioritise all Year 1 students for University accommodation, but we cannot guarantee spaces. That’s why we encourage applicants to apply as early as possible, and always by the advertised application deadline. Priority extends to one offer of accommodation.
If the specified accommodation is full, we will offer alternative University accommodation. If all University accommodation is fully booked, we can provide information on private rentals in Stirling.
Your home away from home
All first year students, from any location, will normally be allocated a single study bedroom in a University residence. The University has 2,800 bed spaces, over 18 locations, and your accommodation may be located either on-campus or off-campus.
Applications should be made online via the university portal, and full instructions will be sent from the Admissions Office once your place to study is unconditional firm.

New Undergraduate Nurses
If you are coming to Stirling in September 2017 to commence a nursing course, we are able to offer you an accommodation contract for the duration of your course, so you would arrive on Saturday 9 September 2017 and stay until Saturday 21 July 2018.
For 2017/18, the property that will be available is John Forty’s Court, located off campus in the city of Stirling. This property is ideally located for nursing students, as it gives easier access to Forth Valley Royal Hospital, as well as giving parking should students require it. As a trial, we will also be offering one flat in Beech Court.
New Integrated Degree Students (Forth Valley College)
If you are coming to Stirling in August 2017 to commence an integrated degree course, your course starts a few weeks earlier than the majority of other new students. Accommodation is available to you for these extra weeks, so your arrival will be Saturday 26 August 2017. Accommodation is available for the duration of your course (42 week contract).
For 2017/18, the property that will be available is Union Street Development, located off campus in the city of Stirling. This property is ideally located, as it gives easier access to Forth Valley College as well as the University campus.
What else do I need to know?
On-campus residences are occupied predominantly by students in their first year of study, and so mature students may wish to contact Accommodation Services for alternative options.
First Year students are encouraged to become involved in the Social Committees. These committees are responsible, with the Accommodation Liaison Students, for organising social events for the residents. Involvement is extremely fulfilling, and although the work never exceeds a few hours a week, you can gain invaluable experience in representing students, team working and organising events.
