To mark 200 years since the death of Jane Austen, a major new exhibition will challenge the current public perception of one of England’s greatest literary heroes. Through a spectacular selection of Austen materials displayed together for the first time, the Bodleian Libraries delve into the myriad influences on this great writer’s work.
Beyond the Brush: Abstract Ink Paintings since 1960

Explore the abstract ink paintings created by leading Chinese artists, regarded as the forerunners of the modern art movement in Taiwan in the 1960s. Chinese ink, acrylic and collage were combined to create vibrant images.
