University of London Alumni and Friends

We support and provide ways for our alumni and friends to get involved in the life of the University of London.

Our goal is to ensure that the University of London can continue to fulfil our mission to make a unique contribution to learning and research-led scholarship through an unrivalled network of member institutions, global reach and reputation, and the breadth of our high-quality innovative academic services and infrastructure.

All of our activities support this goal. The University of London Development Office works to ensure that every member of our global community of two million alumni can access our world-class services and facilities, including Student Central, Senate House Library and The Careers Group.

Our growing programme of events brings our alumni together to celebrate, debate and collaborate, while our international network of local groups allows alumni to reconnect and find new friends in their region.

About the Development Office

The University of London Development Office was established in 2015 to serve the growing needs of our original international university.

We act as a link between the University of London and our alumni, supporters and friends, as well as the public who wish to engage with or support our community.

About the University of London

The University of London was established by Royal Charter in 1836 and its autonomous member institutions are recognised globally, in their own right, as world leaders in higher education and research.

We are home to the School of Advanced Study, the leading national centre for arts and humanities research and public engagement, and our Institute in Paris is dedicated to connecting the UK to the Francophone world through cultural and scholarly exchange.

From its base in Bloomsbury, the University of London International Academy supports over 50,000 students in over 180 countries worldwide study for a range of qualifications on our International Programmes, while almost one million people learn with us by enrolling on our short courses through the Coursera online platform.

Our iconic building, Senate House, hosts Senate House Library, one of the world’s most prestigious research libraries and a valuable resource for students and researchers alike.

Through each of these bodies, the University of London offers almost every subject covered in any university curriculum, providing unparalleled access to education both in London and across the globe.
