How to apply

We have over 200 full-time courses for undergraduate study. First find your perfect course using our Course Search. Still can’t decide? Come to one of our Open Days.

1. Register with UCAS

Applications for all our full-time undergraduate courses should be made though the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS).  Your school or college will be able to guide you through what you need to do to register and start your application. You can also check out the UCAS website for more details. UCAS also has a useful Introduction to Apply video which takes you through each step.

If you wish to transfer to Dundee from another University you must also apply through UCAS.

If you are applying to a part-time, distance learning or study abroad course then you will apply to the University of Dundee, and not through UCAS. You can find further details on each course page.

Key UCAS application dates

You can apply through UCAS from the start of September the year before you want to start university.

So, if you are applying to start university in September 2017:

You can still apply through UCAS for some courses between 16th January and 30th June. We will consider late applications at our discretion.

If you plan to take a year out before you start university we would advise you to apply before you go on your gap year. You can then defer entry to your course to the following year.
