I think university is great, i love its and its the best decision i have made coming to the university of hull :)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
My uni makes effort to increase my employability by running modules that have a job like component and they help to bring sports teams in to help us work on our social skills and working with the public in a sporting environment.
The best thing about my course and my lecturers is that there is a lot of individual components to the module however they are always there if you need guidance with assignments or life in general.
I think yes they do a lot for the uni and they always have the students interests at heart
a lot of the uni facilities are nice and modern however some places could be improved
FANTASTIC!!! I’m Hull born and bred
The clubs and societies are great and a good way to make new friends
the supports is fantastic and always there if you need it

I did Engineering first and now I do Chemistry and I have loved both years, I love meeting new people and going to socials and societies, couldn’t have had a better time
Learning new things everyday, being offered to go to all sorts of lectures to boost knowledge and that should come through when I am looking for a job in Chemistry
I absolutely love my course, I love all of my friends and all of my lectures they are very helpful when you are in need.
The shop is expensive but i like the building to hang out and I love Sanc.
My accommodation is lovely, big room but awful housemates, still like it though!
Very busy but very cool
Some are nice, some are not, I did swimming last year and they weren’t the nicest but I joined Surfing and Climbing this year and I love it.
Very good, always helpful!
Not really sure. They offer great help services though and are very sympathetic to nasty situations

A very good experience. You meet a lot of people from all around the world. Also, the atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming. Moreover, a different way of living.
There are an employability awards scheme. Anyone who are interested are welcome to join.
The chance to do lab work in a very spacious room. Also, if help is required the lecturers are always available and answers to our questions are answered fast.
It is very good. It is welcoming and interesting. Plus it is very lively. After a long and tough day that is the place to go
One of the best accommodations. On campus. There are people who come and clean our own bathrooms since we have en-suite rooms. Also, the kitchen is cleaned twice a week. Also, very modern
Very good. Library is very spacious. It has 7 floor. Also, there are private study room in the library that can be booked if a group of students want to discuss something which is equipped with a large flat screen computer. Moreover, there are place to sit. Moreover, toilets are available everywhere. Cafes are situated almost everywhere on campus. Moreover, in every building there are more than one vending in a building if food and hot drinks are required.
Lively and exciting. Different type of cafes and restaurant available everywhere that welcomes students. Also, there are a lot of student discounts
Very good. If u want to unwind the university has it’s own club on campus and also bars on campus. Close to university there are more nightclubs and bars
Very good. With this university you won’t be alone
A lot. The university sponsors a lot of events and participates actively.

I have very much enjoyed my university experience, despite personal set-backs and obstacles, I am somehow still a student and encouraged to do my best. The friends I have made and the support from the University such as lecturers have been incredible.
Constant emails sent to my University email account from graduate job websites such as Milkround, also opportunities to apply for graduate internships and schemes. Although not something I have looked into personally, I have friends that are pleased with the availability of chances to increase employability.
There is a range of subjects explored in my course, and a freedom to move around within it, from history and literature to media and the arts. Also the lecturers for American Studies I would call some of the best, as their classes are engaging and as for themselves, they actually seem to care and are genuinely lovely people.
I don’t get involved myself, but I have the understanding that it is an efficient student union. My reason for not getting involved is because I do a lot outside of University by myself or with alternative groups unaffiliated with the University Union, especially art. The biggest let down for me is that there aren’t more artistic elements to the University of Hull, and the Union alike.
I wouldn’t recommend the company that my housemates and I are currently renting with, but our home is cozy. We signed the contract quite early on, more than a year in advance, so we had pick of the litter with houses. Great size, facilities, and location. We have made our house a home.
City life is quite nice and historic, especially now as the City of Culture 2017, there are a lot of interesting events and exhibitions taking place.
I don’t take part in University societies.
Great support from the University. I have had a difficult time in the past, yet they have been so accommodating and understanding. Tutors and their feedback is helpful, and there will always be somebody there to talk with you.

I love it! Would not change it for any other uni. HUBS is great . Always helpful. easy access to all departments. Parking would be useful but busses are always easy to access.
Networking events, help with cv, careers service department
Flexible and interesting
They always have events on, which is great
Great, safe, clean
Alright, we could have more multi cultural clubs
The help is there if you need it and they make sure you know it.

It has been a good one so far, this is a result of the good lecturers on my course as well as the support which the offer to students. The 24/7 library is something else’s which makes the experience much better.

So far it has been an enjoyable experience with everything that is on offer. The facilities offered by the uni are great and all the staff seem approachable if help is needed

You can get out of university whatever you want to get out of it. I didn’t do much in my first year and as a result I didn’t think it was doing much for me. Since then iv’e tried to do allot more and as a result I’ve had a much better time
The uni careers service is very proactive in offering and advertising employ ability opportunities; for instance, cv workshops, employer meetings and such.
The lecturers are very good at engaging with students
Many of the welfare groups are a mess and do not do their job properly. I.e. giving support to students from certain groups
The library is excellent with lots of computers and only resources to help with a course
Hull is very cheap and there is always something going on if you know where to look. Free live music, lots of cultural events, old movie screenings at a price much lower than what you’d find in other places
The sports societies go out of their way to try and get people involved and make people feel welcome. Normal societies can become a bit cliquey after a point but are still good for meeting lots of people.
There are lots of opportunities to talk with someone about the work that you’ve got to do. But also, the university offers access to mental health services to those that need it relatively easily.
The university tries to take somepart in the city life, through the city of culture and through connections with local employers. But it still feels like the university sits in the city rather than being apart of it.
