University of Huddersfield Taster Days
Taster Days are delivered on campus and allow students to find out all about our courses and gain an insight into what it’s like to study at university. Please click links in the calendar below for further information or to book.
Taster Days at Huddersfield give the chance to experience first-hand what it is like to study a subject at university. On the day students will find out what it would be like to study that course, take part in a sample lecture and interactive workshops. The visits may also include a tour of the campus, an opportunity to meet current students and find out all they want to know about student life.
These events are ideal for post 16 students who have an interest in a certain subject and for those who haven’t quite decided on their course of study.
Students will develop a practical understanding of a HE subject area, develop knowledge of the range of courses available within a subject area and make informed decisions about their future.
Language matters. It underpins human relationships and is at the heart of how communities are built. The study of language, also known as linguistics, can tell us more about who we are and our place in the world. It can also help us change the world around us, by improving communication across cultures, helping people with speech disorders, and even developing artificial intelligence.
