Santander Universities award funding to two student businesses
Three young entrepreneurs from the University of Huddersfield have received funding from Santander Universities after winning an elevator pitch competition.

Graduate, Stephen Bond’s business Panda’s Kitchen which began life as part of a Huddersfield student’s Enterprise Placement Year, has won the grand-final of a major national ‘young entrepreneurs’ competition entitled TestTown and has been granted a substantial first prize of £10,000.
Research student’s art exhibition changes western view on Afghanistan
Dilara is a research student of Afghan origin, currently studying for his Master’s in Contemporary Art. His exhibition, A glimpse of artwork from a conflict zone: Afghanistan’ is the first of its kind to be featured at the University, offering a new perspective on a country with such an unclear culture and heritage. It provides an amazing visual story of lives so different to our own cultural norms.
