University of Huddersfield Jobs for Students

Thank you for your interest in joining our team. Huddersfield Students’ Union is a dynamic, fast paced, student-led organisation; representing all students at the University of Huddersfield. The Students’ Union runs a variety of services for students including sports, societies, campaigning, volunteering, representation, as well as a high profile advice centre and shop. We’re proud to support the Living Wage Foundation with all below positions paid at the current living wage rate of £9.36p/h (effective after holidays, as of May 2017).

We have recently moved into a new home within a flagship University development, and have undergone exciting changes to the services we provide our members. We’re looking for people with ambition, drive and determination to get things done. But more than anything, we’re looking for people with energy and the desire the go that extra mile to help us make student life better. We’re also a Mindful Employer which means we are working towards improving awareness of, and good practices around, mental health to benefit both current and prospective employees.

Should you wish to have an informal chat regarding any positions or forthcoming opportunities, please contact Rae Ellis on r.ellis4@hud.ac.uk or 01484 473436.

JobShop

The Careers and Employability Service run the University’s Student JobShop, which is accessible to all university current students and graduates. It sits within the software MyCareer, and it is our online vacancy service where students can access part-time roles, internships and graduate opportunities. We advertise vacancies all year round, and our dedicated JobShop team work alongside local businesses and graduate recruiters to ensure that students have access to the best possible opportunities in order to maximise their professional development.

JobShop enables students to view opportunities on campus, within the local area, as well as graduate schemes nationwide.

Students can access the JobShop via their student portal or directly via this link –  and they can sign in using their student username and password.
