University of Hertfordshire Key Activities

Activities and interests

Whatever you’re into there’s an opportunity to join a club or society – or even set up your own at Hertfordshire. With over 100 active clubs and societies on campus, there’s a vibrant community of like-minded people out there waiting for you.

Clubs and Societies

From literature to LGBT, from philosophy to film-making, from the serious to the downright silly – there’s a club or society at Hertfordshire for you – and if you can’t find the club you’re looking for, the Students’ Union will provide you with support and funding to set up your own.

Student Media

If you’re interested in a career in the media, or you just love to get involved, our Student’s Union has a wide range  of opportunities for you – from writing articles for the Student Newspaper ‘Universe’, to presenting a show on our resident radio station ‘Crush FM’.  Getting involved in student media will give you great experience to put on your CV and it’s great fun… just visit the ‘freshers’ fair’ in the first week of term to get signed up and start getting involved.

Activities Off Campus

There are also plenty of local interest groups and societies you can get involved with, Hatfield and the surrounding areas are well served with community and interest groups.
