How to connect to Outlook/Exchange with a mobile device

Please note that we are unable to provide any further support for these devices and you follow these instructions at your own risk.

To connect with your BlackBerry

Use these settings:

Outlook Web Access URL:

Your University of Greenwich Username. (e.g. sj01)

Your University of Greenwich password

Email address:
Your University of Greenwich email address. Please note you must use the full email address. e.g. not

Mailbox name:
Your University of Greenwich Username. (e.g. sj01)

University Of Greenwich Outlook

To connect with an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch

Use these settings:

  1. Add a new Microsoft Exchange email account
  2. Enter your email address

Your University of Greenwich Username, prefixed with staff\ (e.g. staff\sj01).

The iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch will now configure your settings.

To configure Calendar and Contacts to sync

Please Note that this will delete existing iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch entries.

  1. Select the Exchange account you created above
  2. Switch Contacts and/or Calendars to On
  3. Follow the on-screen prompts

To connect with an Android device

Use these settings:

Your (e.g.

Your password

A descriptive name for this account. (e.g. UoG Exchange)

Basic Description:

Staff are provided with access to University email, calendar, attachments and contacts.

    • The Outlook Web Access (OWA) service, provides a means of connecting to the email account remotely using a web browser.

Our Responsibility:

User Services staff will install and configure Outlook on staff workstations and provide information and support regarding its use.
