There are many opportunities for sport and fitness activities on and around the University of Greenwich. Below we list the most popular clubs and activities.

Avery Hill area

The Dome Gym

At Avery Hill students can join the Dome Gym and sports hall.  The gym offers a range of resistance machines, a smith machine and a full range of dumbbells, while the sports hall provides facilities for badminton, five a side football, basketball, netball, cricket and volleyball.

The David Fussey Building

This includes a sports hall, offering courts and equipment for a range of indoor sports, including five-a-side football, basketball, badminton, netball and volleyball. Outdoor facilities include football pitches and netball and tennis courts. Local cricket, basketball and netball teams also use the facilities throughout the year.

Eltham Centre

Local to the Avery Hill Campus there is a swimming pool on Eltham High Street..

Student Sports teams

The University of Greenwich has a fantastic record of achievement in sport on both a competitive and non-competitive level. This is a well-established rowing club linked to the university’s boat club. Its new boathouse is adjacent to the campus.
