Welcome to the Faculty of Architecture, Computing & Humanities
The Faculty of Architecture, Computing & Humanities (ACH) is a diverse, energetic community, with students and staff from all over the world. We cover a wide range of academic disciplines across eight very distinct departments – Architecture and Landscape, Built Environment, Computing and Information Systems, Creative Professions & Digital Arts, History, Politics & Social Sciences, Law & Criminology, Literature, Language & Theatre and Mathematical Sciences.
Campus and Facilities
The Faculty has a wide range of dedicated facilities including computer laboratories, video and film making studios, music equipment, and a substantial library of literary and academic journals. It enjoys both the setting of the historic maritime hospital site and the new Stockwell Street building, which houses an impressive array of “state of the art” facilities, including a new library, exhibition spaces and beautiful rooftop gardens.

Teaching and Learning
We see it as our duty to provide students with the most inspiring, rewarding and well-rounded University experience possible. This means ensuring that students achieve the best grades they can, but also helping them to engage with the ideas that underpin their subject, to master the skills that their studies cover, and to enjoy putting their studies into practice.
We believe that University should be an exciting and challenging experience for students, and we are constantly integrating new ideas and new technology into our teaching. We supplement lectures and tutorials with a wide variety of other learning and practice methods, including subject-specific work placements, special projects and creative work.
Student Experience and Employability
We are proud of our consistently high student satisfaction ratings. Our Law and Maths programmes are consistently rated no. 1 in London for Student Satisfaction by the Complete University guide, but student satisfaction and engagement is a priority and a strength for all our programmes.
