Ceremony timetable

This year’s ceremonies start on Wednesday 8 November and Thursday 9 November at Gloucester Cathedral, and then move to The Centaur at Cheltenham Racecourse on Thursday 23 November and Friday 24 November. Detailed programmes will be issued nearer to the event.

More than 2,500 students from a wide range of courses will be receiving their awards. The most prestigious event in the university calendar is attended by the most senior representatives of the university, including the Chancellor, Baroness Rennie Fritchie DBE.

It’s a wonderful opportunity to share your achievements with your friends and family as you move on to your next adventure.

All students must attend the ceremony relevant to the course they studied, as courses graduate under the school in which they sit. All students will have been allocated to their ceremony automatically – specific ceremony information can be viewed on your online student record at the time of registering.

If you studied a joint honours degree, you will be allocated to the ceremony for the first named subject of your chosen degree title (as displayed on your student record).

Any collaborative partner courses not mentioned by name but eligible to attend will attend the ceremony for the school within which their subject area sits. PhD students attend the ceremony for the subject area/school relevant to their thesis.

If you have any queries regarding the ceremonies, please contact the Graduation team via email or by calling 01242 715444.
