At the University of Gloucestershire we are passionate about education and have a long standing tradition of teacher education and development.

One of the programmes we offer is a BA Hons in Education Studies. This degree is structured to enable students to explore the fascinating and complex world of education from lots of different perspectives.  It is not a teacher training degree, but is good preparation for a career in education in its broadest sense which could be as a teacher, but could also be, for example, in charity work, youth work, care work, or in a museum, resource centre, or residential home.

Many of our students progress on to a Primary  PGCE or School Direct route into teaching, but others follow other programmes such as speech and language therapy courses, the MEd, or teacher training in Early Years, whilst others go direct into employment

This site has been created to share some of the things that are happening on the course and also to showcase some interesting work produced by students.

Education Studies student Louise Norman talks about life on the course.
