The Students’ Guild and Postgraduate Society

The Students’ Guild separate the very specific needs of the postgraduate research and taught communities. In addition to the Postgraduate Society they have a Postgraduate Research Liaison Forum. Postgraduate Taught academic representation is via Staff Student Liaison Committee meetings. The Guild have a Postgraduate Masters’ Officer and a Postgraduate Research Officer, both of whom sit on Guild Council.

You can find out more about postgraduate representation on the Student Guild’s webpages.

Postgraduate Society

The Postgraduate Society is about ensuring your postgraduate experience at the University of Exeter is fun and rewarding, and is dedicated to representing postgraduate students’ social and recreational needs. Run by a committee of students, it can help you make the most of your time at Exeter.

The Society organises socials, trips to other cities and places of interest, and provides everyone with opportunities to meet other postgraduates, celebrate successes and gives the chance to relax from studying. The Society will help you to make memories and friendships that last into your professional life and beyond.

The Postgraduate Society is the only society at the University geared towards postgraduate students. The society’s primary goal is to enhance the student experience for postgraduates by providing a forum for cross-departmental interaction through social events like pub quizzes, day trips, dinner parties and more. We hold at least one event per week, ensuring there is always something exciting going on!
