University of East London Reception
Customer services reception
The Estates and Facilities Customer Services Reception team act as the first point of contact and provide an essential service in welcoming and signposting staff, students and visitors upon arrival to Docklands and Stratford Campuses.
We offer a friendly, helpful and professional service and can help with a wide range of issues, including:
- Issuing new and replacement staff ID cards
- Issuing approved Parking permits which can be collected during our opening hours
- Welcoming visitors, issuing visitor cards, and informing you of their arrival
- Issuing alumni cards following submission of application and pre-payment at Cashiers Office
Receiving visitors at UEL
Visitors at UEL will always be greeted with courtesy and professionalism upon arrival at the Reception at either Docklands, Stratford or USS.
If you are a visitor planning to visit the University please see the visit us section.
If you are a staff member and you planning to receive a visitor then we strongly encourage you to use the Visitor Application Form (doc) to inform us when you are expecting a visitor or have organised an event. We will then contact you to let you know when your guest is here and either direct the visitor to your meeting point or ask them to wait in reception for you.
We recommend, especially if your guests are visiting UEL for the first time, that you meet your visitors in reception. Please make sure your visitors know how to get to the Campus.
If your visitor requires parking then this must be indicated on the application form and 24 hours notice is required. There are a limited number of visitor parking spaces available at each campus and all visitors must be authorised by a member of UEL staff. Please ensure that you familiarise yourself with all of the details about the conditions of Visitor Parking.
If your visitor is arriving by taxi then you must inform Security Services in advance so that the taxi and your visitor are permitted access to the campus grounds. If you do not advise Security in advance then your visitor will not be permitted access and will need to alight the vehicle before the security barrier.
