University of East London Admissions

When you apply for postgraduate study at UEL, we’ll give you all the support you need – from advice about fees and funding to guidance from tutors on specific course requirements. Whether you’re a UK graduate or a mature student, we’ll make your journey as smooth as possible. Apply Now

Apply for full-time (via UCAS)

If you encounter any problems with completing your UCAS application, please contact UCAS on +44 (0)871 468 0468. If you’re calling from outside the UK and are unable to use this number, ring +44 (0)870 112 2211.

We would advise you to apply as early as possible, especially if applying for one of our more popular courses. If you miss the first-round deadline in mid-January, you can still apply to UCAS. We consider late applications if we still have places available.

If you have any questions, feel free to talk to a member of our Applicant Enquiries team from Monday to Friday (9am–5pm) on +44 (0) 20 8223 3333 or email study@uel.ac.uk.

If you want to start a full-time course at UEL in September, you should apply online via the ‘Apply’ button on the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) website. UCAS will accept applications from 1st September in the year before you want to start your course. International students (non-EU) have the choice of applying via UCAS or directly to UEL.

When applying through UCAS, you’ll need the unique UCAS institution code (ELOND) and code for UEL (E28), as well as the UCAS code for the course you want to study. You’ll find this code on the relevant course page.

You’ll also need to pay a fee to UCAS to submit your application. This can be done online or via your school or college if they have an arrangement with UCAS.

Application Process

If you submitted your application and are concerned that you have not heard from us, feel free to contact our Applicant Enquiries team on +44 (0)20 8223 3333 or at study@uel.ac.uk. They’ll be happy to let you know about the status of your application and the next steps in the process.

If you’ve applied through UCAS, you can track the progress of your application by using the UCAS Track service. You’ll need your UCAS personal ID, username and password to log in. If you have difficulty in accessing the system, please contact the UCAS Applicant Helpline on +44 (0)870 1122211.
