The School of Environmental Sciences is looking to recruit postgraduate research students for the coming academic year.
A list of possible research projects has been compiled by academic staff in the School and this can be explored using the search facilities described below. Please note that we also welcome applications from those proposing their own research project. It is anticipated that the majority of successful applicants will start on 1 October each year but some may be able to start at one of the University’s other standard entry points (1 January, 1 April and 1 July) . Please contact individual supervisors for details.
Environment East NERC Doctoral Training Partnership (EnvEast DTP) EnvEast a new Doctoral Training Partnership (DTP), a collaboration between the Universities of East Anglia, Kent and Essex and 9 other core partners, has been awarded £5 million from the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) to fund over 60 PhD studentships over the next 5 years to train the next generation of environmental, earth and ecological scientists. As one of 15 new DTPs in the UK, EnvEast will enrol its first students in October 2014.
