GRADUATION 2017 GRADUATION 2017

2017’s Graduation Week at UEA will be from 17-21 July – the time when the University community comes together to celebrate the success of our students who have worked hard to reach this moment.

This page will be the place to find information during the week itself, when we will be celebrating the achievements of graduating students and discovering more about 2017’s honorary graduates.

If you have queries about Graduation, visit https://portal.uea.ac.uk/graduationoffice/summer-graduation.

Summer Graduation 2017

Summer Graduation 2017 is taking place week commencing 17 July 2017.

When is my ceremony?

Please follow the link below to view the Order of Ceremonies for Summer Graduation in 2017.

Order of Ceremonies 2017 [PDF 65KB]

This schedule confirms the dates and times of each ceremony and which schools are invited to attend.

You may notice that some schools may be listed for more than one ceremony. This is due to the high levels of students attending, and the limited capacity within Congregation Hall to accommodate them. Where this does occur, the schedule indicates which cohorts are invited to attend.

How do I register?

The registration deadline to guarantee your place in the ceremony for summer 2017 has now elapsed. Please contact graduation@uea.ac.uk to enquire whether places are still available. Registrations to receive your certificate by post are still acceptable.

If I opt to receive my award by post, when can I expect to receive my certificate?

If you successfully complete the online registration by the given deadline, your certificate will be despatched in the week commencing 24 July 2017.

The certificate will be sent to your nominated address using one of the following services:

  • Sent via Royal Mail 1st Class to a UK address
  • Sent via Airmail to a non UK address
  • Sent via DHL to a non UK address (this service had to be pre-ordered and paid for in advance)

Please allow up to 4 weeks for your certificate to arrive before making contact with the Graduation Office. Therefore if you have not received your certificate by 25 August 2017 please email graduation@uea.ac.uk and we will arrange for a reissue to be sent.

Please note we are only able to arrange one reissue certificate in the Graduation Office, if a second reissue is required you will need to contact our Student Records department for which charges will apply.

Failure to report a missing certificate

If you fail to notify us by 27 October 2017 that you have still not received your certificate you will have to apply for a replacement certificate via our Student Records department for which charges will apply.

Transcripts & Mark Statements

Please note that your official transcript and mark statement is issued separately by your Hub and will NOT be delivered with your Graduation certificate. Please contact your Hub directly with any queries relating to transcripts and mark statements.

Outstanding Debt

If you are still in academic related debt to the University on the day of conferment we will be unable to confer your award and issue your certificate as per University regulations. Please contact graduation@uea.ac.uk if you have any queries relating to this matter.
