Foundation Year in Life Sciences for Dentistry and English Language CertHE

Progress onto the Dundee dentistry course by boosting your English language and academic qualifications with our one-year foundation course.

If you are an international applicant, whose first language is not English, and you have a demonstrable interest in studying Dentistry at Dundee Dental School, this Foundation Course may be just for you.

The course aims to help you achieve the standards required for progression onto the Dundee BDS degree programme. While the academic focus is on English language skills and life sciences, the course also includes several exciting and inspiring specialist dental modules that will hopefully give you a taste of things to come.

Our Dental School repeatedly scores very highly for student satisfaction.

“Our vibrant and technologically advanced environment prepares graduates for careers as professional clinicians and researchers – and encourages those with aptitude to follow an academic pathway”

Professor Mark Hector, Dean of Dentistry

The School is internationally renowned for its work on oral cancer. It is also at the forefront in developing and promoting techniques to tackle one of the world’s most common childhood diseases: dental caries, or tooth decay.
