Business Management BSc (Hons)

An accredited path to a business and management career providing you with the ‘next gen’ skills you need to do business in a changing world.

We offer two business management degree pathways. They are the only degrees of this kind in the UK to be accredited by the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM).

These progressive courses look forward to new practices. Both are taught by leading experts in business and management who have strong links with companies and professional bodies. They both allow you to visit financial institutions helping you understand how business management issues are handled in practice.

Business Management BSc (Hons) is designed for the commercial world of today and tomorrow. Responding to changing priorities of businesses around the world, this course focuses on sustainable, ethical and socially responsible approaches to business and management, and to wider society.

In addition to the study of ‘traditional’ business management subjects, we offer opportunities to explore alternative, but increasingly important, areas such as Managing Human Rights, Understanding Organizational Space and Managing Change.

Lectures, tutorials and workshops are supplemented by contemporary approaches such as drawing, photography, film-making and video-narratives. In this way students are encouraged to explore the dynamism of current and future business approaches.  This course encourages greater reflexivity and understanding of the complexity of managing organizations both locally and globally.

During their guest lectures business leaders and area specialists will be sharing with you the real-time challenges they face. In addition, as a BSc Business Management student, you’ll have the opportunity to do a short placement with a local firm to gain practical experience.
