On Friday, March 17, auditions will be held at the Track and Field Rooms, University of Derby Sports Centre, Kedleston Road, Derby DE22 1GB, from noon to 2pm.
Anyone who thinks they have what it takes to become the next winner of The X Factor can go along.
Staff from the show’s production company will be scouting for talent at what will be the first stage of the audition process.
The contest will be open to University of Derby staff, students, and members of the general public – but you must be over 16. Under-18s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and have valid ID.
There’s no need to book or pre-register, just turn up on the day and sing your heart out.

No stone is being left unturned by The X Factor scouting team in a bid to unearth more talent for the show, which is battling to maintain its viewing figures in the face of tough competition.
Several Derbyshire people have auditioned for The X Factor over the years, including Church Gresley teenager Kirby Frost.
The 17-year-old auditioned for the show in 2016, when she was only 16, and her experience led to her being approached to support Sam Bailey, a former winner of The X Factor.
Kirby performed alongside gold-selling artist Sam at Oxford’s New Theatre on March 4 as part of the star’s Sing My Heart Out tour.
