BEd (Hons) Primary Education with Qualified Teacher Status

If you already know you’d like to become a primary teacher, this course is an excellent choice. It combines a highly regarded honours degree with the recommendation of the award of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – so you’ll be able to go straight into your first teaching position when you graduate.

Specific requirements at GCSE Five GCSEs at Grade C or above, including Maths, English Language and a Science (there are currently a range of equivalences which can be accepted and you should contact the admissions team if you need clarification)

Please Note: In addition to the entry requirements above, you must also have recent and sustained experience in a school or setting with children aged 3-11 years.

How to apply, UK Students

  • Full-time students applying in September should apply for this course through UCAS or you can apply directly to the University for an undergraduate course if you’re not applying to any other UK university in the same year.

You must have recent primary school experience at the time of application.
