If you’ve always been passionate about animals and want to explore the natural world, then it sounds like you’re ready for a course in Wildlife Media! Our course will focus on giving you the professional skills necessary for a career in studying nature through the media. You will learn about wildlife and photography, documentary film-making and journalistic writing-useful skills to help your future in the industry.

As we’re based in Cumbria, we have an enviable range of unique and diverse wildlife habitats both within and without the Lake District, and are the perfect base to explore further afield in Scotland, Yorkshire and the Peak District. With access to uplands, lakes, rivers and the coast, you’ll love exploring the creatures that lurk within these distinctive environments. Using industry-standard technology to create compelling documentation of the local wildlife, you’ll develop the knowledge and experience to be an expert in your field.Many of our full-time programmes can be studied over a longer period on a part-time basis. Integrated Foundation Year

We will hone your skills in a diverse range of media, including photography, documentary film making and writing for wildlife media. Our course will develop your creativity in producing contemporary wildlife media, taking full advantage of the surrounding region to explore a diverse set of environments.

Throughout the course you will explore the relationship between humans and the natural world, using our media facilities to produce top quality content that plays a part in the understanding and conservation of the world’s wildlife. You will be taught by practicing professionals and visiting practitioners who represent a wide range of production areas.
