OneSearch enables you to access nearly all of the library’s books, journals and other physical and online material from one easy to use interface. You can also use the ‘My Account’ features in OneSearch to reserve and renew your library books and to create favourites in your e-shelf.

Library Updates

  • We’ve listened to your views about fines and have standardised the fine rate to 10p per day per item. This means that one week loans fines are reduced by 50%.
  • All students can have 15 items out at any time from the lending collection instead of the 12 items currently.
  • Teaching practice items unchanged and there is no change for students with a disability or specific learning difficulty (SpLD).
  • We’ve improved the reservation system, making the recall process more efficient, and requested items should be available more quickly.
  • You can receive your library notifications by text. Make sure your mobile phone number is up to date in ICON!
  • From Monday 11th January you will receive a weekly library statement of the items you have on loan to your university email account.
  • Pre-overdue and other library notices will continue to be sent to your university email account.
