Information for New Research Students
All research degree students automatically become members of our Graduate School, benefiting from administrative, practical and pastoral support on your research degree journey. The Cumbria Researcher Development Programme will assist you to develop the skills and qualities required of a researcher, along with an active and collaborative research community around you.
The Graduate School supports all research degree students during their time at the University of Cumbria, from enquiry to completion. This includes all aspects of research student development through learning, teaching and supervision. We provide day-to-day support, work space, resources and provide the main researcher development programme offering workshops, seminars and an annual summer school. This is enhanced by discipline specific opportunities and training through your department to support your development as a researcher.
