HR Excellence in Research Award
The University of Cumbria is committed to supporting and developing the careers of its researchers. The HR Research Excellence Award process provides a framework to support this and incorporates both the QAA Code of Practice for Research Degree Programmes and the Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers.
The action plan is a fundamental element of our achieving the HR Excellence Award in October 2015.
JobCentre Plus has awarded the University the Two Ticks Disability (Positive about Disabled People) symbol. This symbol recognises those employers who have agreed to meet certain commitments regarding the recruitment, employment, retention and career development of disabled people.
The New Joint Negotiating Committee for Higher Education Staff (New JNCHES) is the central committee for multi-employer negotiations and dialogue on pay and pay-related issues. The University adheres to JNCHES regulations.
