Course outline

If you’re passionate about becoming part of the Film and Television industry, then we are here to help you get started. Working in small year groups, you will be exposed to all the necessary skills you need to produce films and television programmes/shows, building on your knowledge and skills to help you progress into a career in film production.

As well as studying professional works, we offer a very practical, hands-on approach to learning about developing projects. Each week will see you out on a shoot with full access to production facilities and technology, giving you a solid base to build a portfolio of work that can be used to best show off your skills to future employers. From adverts to documentaries, we will give you a wide range of genres to explore and work on during your course.

Our carefully structured programme allows you to develop rapidly using innovative project briefs, technical workshops, frequent studio lectures, practical demonstrations and visits from professional filmmakers. You will be encouraged to use, exercise and stretch your imagination as we help turn your ideas into films and TV programmes.

Many of our full-time programmes can be studied over a longer period on a part-time basis. Please contact the course enquiries team for further details.
