University for the creative arts bursary

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The University for the Creative Arts (UCA) offers a number of cash bursaries of up to £900 to those with an annual household income of up to £40,000. The selected students will receive a UCA Bursary for each year of their undergraduate studies at UCA and no need to pay back. The value of the UCA Bursary will be dependant on the declared annual household income being £40,000 or less in the application for Student Finance England, Wales or Northern Ireland support for that academic year.

REQUIREMENTS

The bursary will be available to English, Welsh and Northern Irish domiciled, full-time undergraduate students with a declared annual household income of £40,000 or less and paying full fees of at least £8,500 per annum. The students must be receiving government support for university study, i.e. the tuition fee loan and maintenance loan and grant for living costs, via Student Finance England, Wales or Northern Ireland.

The data on household income will be taken from the Student Loans Company, so there is no need to apply through separate application process.

UCA Bursary for continuing students

If you have been eligible to receive a UCA bursary previously, you will continue to receive a UCA Bursary for each year of your undergraduate studies at UCA up to a maximum of three years (if you are studying a three year course) or four years (if you are studying a four year course), provided you continue to fulfill the eligibility criteria laid out below. Our bursary schemes and the amounts we pay vary according to the year you started at UCA.

Continuing students who have not previously received a bursary but who become eligible for bursary support during their course will be considered under the 2016/17 UCA bursary scheme which has a £25,000 or less income ceiling.
