University for the creative arts architecture

Architecture and interior design professionals can enjoy challenging, enjoyable and influential roles within industry. Equipped with technical skill, creativity and the expertise to succeed, professionals can take on rewarding projects across a variety of sectors – from retail leisure, exhibitions, events, graphic and online design, to public buildings, theatres, shopping centres, offices and conferences, cruise ships, transportation and more.

UCA offers a number of highly-regarded architecture-based courses. And with over 60 years’ experience in delivering architecture education, we also offer an Architects Registration Board (ARB) and Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) validated BA (Hons) Architecture (ARB/RIBA Part 1) course – along with the opportunity to complete the full qualification with a Master of Architecture (ARB/RIBA Part 2).

Our students produce a fantastic range of work using our extensive technical resources, including modelling, prototyping, casting, printmaking, drawing, films and animations. Their efforts are individually focused and owned, not following a formula or house style – so no two UCA projects look the same.

And our supportive environment enables students to complete projects between studio areas, workshops and internal and external public spaces for exhibition and engagement. We’ll encourage you to develop your skills by working with a range of communities and organisations. Our teaching exposes you to the dynamics of the modern profession of architecture, associated construction and development industries, and the arts and culture sectors.

Employers comment on the breadth of skills that UCA graduates offer. You’ll develop a great balance of rigour and expertise with optimism and imagination: being able to critically evaluate and learn the secret to great architecture and design.
