Welcome to UCL – the UK’s volunteering university! The Volunteering Services Unit is here to help you get involved in exciting community volunteering opportunities across London.

Who we are

The Volunteering Services Unit (VSU) is a team of seven staff members based in UCLU who are dedicated to connecting UCL students with charities, community groups and volunteering projects across London. We’re based in UCLU and funded directly by UCL.

UCLU Volunteering Society (VolSoc) is the network for UCL students who are interested in volunteering. It’s run by students, for students and works closely with the VSU to make sure you get the most out of your time volunteering. Find out more here.

Student Led Volunteering

Volunteering Fairs

Throughout October and November this year, the Volunteering Services Unit will be holding six volunteering fairs as part of our Festival of Volunteering!  The fairs are a fantastic way for our partner organisations and Student-Led Volunteering Projects to meet with UCL students here on campus and discuss volunteering.

Global Citizenship programme

The Voluntary Sector strand of UCL’s Global Citizenship Programme (“GC Voluntary Sector”) is a two-week academy for future voluntary sector leaders and others who embrace the challenge of solving complex local and global problems using skills and ingenuity, running after summer exams – Find out more.
