The UCL Graduation Ceremonies are arranged so that students graduate with their Faculty and programme of study. You should have received confirmation correspondence of your specific graduation date in late May 2017. More information is available to help you with planning your day.
UCL 2017 Graduation ceremonies: booking is now open

The online application process for students to apply for tickets for UCL’s 2017 Graduation Ceremonies is now open.
Students eligible to attend this year’s graduation ceremonies have been sent an email inviting them to apply for tickets via the UCL Student Information Service (Portico).
Students will see a link on their Portico homepage to purchase tickets using a personalised online application form. Details of their provisional ceremony date and time are available on the first page of the application.
The new Graduation Ceremonies website contains everything students need to know about how to apply, event venues, academic dress hire, graduation photography and UCL merchandise.
Key deadline dates
- 01 April 2017: Students wishing to change from a 4 year MSci/MEng programme to a 3 year BSc/BEng must have this change active on their record by this date to be eligible to attend the 2017 ceremonies. Changes made after this date will mean the student will be invited to the 2018 Graduation Ceremonies.
- 01 April 2017: Last selection date for undergraduate and graduate taught masters programmes. Taught masters students must have a conferred award on their record by this date to be eligible to be invited to the 2017 ceremonies.
- 25 April 2017 (4pm BST): The deadline for eligible invited students to apply for tickets to attend the 2017 Graduation Ceremonies.
- 28 April 2017: Last graduate research pass-list selected for the 2017 Graduation Ceremonies. (NB – these students will have a ticket application deadline extension).
If you have not yet received an invitation to the 2017 Graduation Ceremonies but believe you should be invited please email the Student Support and Events Team as soon as possible.

Academic dress (robe) is mandatory at all UCL Graduation Ceremonies for Students and Academic Staff who are part of the academic procession.
The venue for your Graduation Ceremony will depend on the date your Faculty and programme of study have been allocated. By logging onto your Portico Students who have applied will be able to see the date and time of their Graduation Ceremony. Please select the appropriate date below where you will find a wealth of information to help you with planning your day.

The deadline to apply to attend was 4pm (BST) Tuesday 25 April 2017.
The UCL Graduation Ceremonies Terms and Conditions includes policies on the following topics: Applications and Tickets, Refunds, Academic Dress, Children and Babies, Data Protection, Date and Time of Ceremony, Debts, Filming and Photography, Right to Refuse Entry, Accessible Seating.
An official transcript detailing examinations taken and results achieved is automatically sent to all students. Degree certificates are not handed out at UCL Graduation Ceremonies. You do not need to attend a ceremony to receive your degree certificate and transcript. All certificates are posted to the contact address you provided on Portico approximately 8-10 weeks after the awards have been ratified by the UCL Authorities.
