University College Birmingham Clearing

Clearing is the final three months of the UCAS application cycle, running from July until September

Clearing is for applicants who:

  • Didn’t receive any offers
  • Decided they did not want to accept any of the offers they received
  • Made an application after the 30th of June
  • Did not meet the conditions of their firm or insurance offers

In clearing, students are only eligible to make one choice so consider your choice wisely. If the institution you apply to does not accept you, you can apply through clearing again.

Clearing at University College Birmingham

UCB advertises its vacancies for undergraduate courses on UCAS from July. If you are interested in applying for a course through clearing, you need to contact the admissions team on 0121 604 1040. A member of the team will then speak to you about your eligibility for the course. For students who have not received their exam results, we will reserve a space for you until proof of your qualifications can be provided.

Clearing runs from early July and helps prospective students without confirmation of their firm or insurance choices, and those who apply late, to find courses where places are still available.
