University Of Chichester Women’s Football
The women’s football club has been building for the past few years. Not only do we have two teams in the Premier south league but we are also a very social side. When you join our club, you’ll very quickly realise that these girls aren’t just your teammates but will come some of your best friends and you’ll soon learn how contagious the WSIHE spirit is when you’re around them (especially on a Wednesday!). Being one of the main clubs at the university, we have a lot of passion for our sport, a great support unit for our girls and we are forever growing in a positive direction. This was recognised when we won club of the year 2015/16 & club of the year 2014/15 with Futsal winning team of the year also in the 15/16 season, this is just a stepping stone for our future. We welcome all abilities with open arms and can’t wait to meet you all!
Our 1st team plays in the BUCS Premier South League and our 2nd team plays in the BUCS South Eastern 2A (two leagues away from the Prem). Both teams are high standards but we welcome all abilities as we have a development squad as of last year where there will be friendlies/tournaments and the opportunity of moving up teams following signs of improvement and development!
Our successful Futsal team is running on its fourth year and has recently won the Premier South League and were ranked the number 1 Futsal team in the whole country which is very exciting. Exploring the Futsal world has been fun but our competitive WSIHE spirits means that we put a lot of effort in to win.
We have strong links with Chichester City Ladies and Chichester College with our club recently playing a friendly Charity match against both for the Steve Bernard foundation and the Joe Sharpe memorial game to remember a true WSIHE ranger – two individuals very close to all our hearts.
