SONAR via Moodle (select menu Study-Related)
SONAR (Student Online Academic Record) is a tool, which puts you in control of your own student record and provides you with online information at your fingertips.
Using the links on the left hand menu you can view and change certain details that the University holds about you. You can also view your timetable and, at certain times of the year, your results and assessment feedback.
Your data within SONAR is copied from the (SITS) Students Records System every night around 9.30pm. If you have any queries about your data please contact Academic Registry.
Student SONAR will be unavailable for 10 minutes at around 9.30pm whilst the data updating is taking place.
Students not in debt to the University and with all their module results will be able to re-register for a course using SONAR.
In order to use SONAR you will need to create a SONAR account. To do this please go to Moodle and click on the drop down menu ‘Study-Related’ and select option Student SONAR ‘(Student Onlne Academic Record)’ and follow the link on the right of the page ‘please create your SONAR account’.
PLEASE NOTE the SONAR announcement box on the home page of SONAR, which changes colour as announcements change. This box includes important information for students, at relevant points in the year, about e.g. setting up a SONAR account, results notification, programme registration and registering on modules etc.
