NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health)

The Health and Safety Office in partnership with The University of Chichester, runs NEBOSH Courses. These are globally-recognised, vocationally-related qualifications designed to meet the health, safety, environmental and risk management needs of all places of work in both the private and public sectors.

Course Programme

National Certificate in the Health and Well-Being at Work – This course will run as a 6 week day release starting Wednesday 18th January 2017. The exam will take place on Wednesday 8th March 2017.

This new qualification will give managers, supervisors and HR personnel the skills and knowledge to tackle health and well-being at work.  It will benefit organisations who are seeking to improve the efficiency, and morale of their workforce.  It should be attended by General managers, supervisors, health and safety and HR personnel who have responsibility for, or involvement in, the health and well-being of employees as part of their day-to-day duties.

National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety  – This course will run as a 13 week day release course starting Thursday 9th March 2017. The exam will take place on Wednesday 7th June 2017.

It is especially beneficial to Health & Safety Co-ordinators, managers, supervisors and staff who need a broad understanding of health and safety issues. The certificate helps staff manage risks effectively.  Many people take the NEBOSH National General Certificate as a first step in a career in health and safety. It provides a valuable overview and is a sound basis for further professional study.
