University Of Chichester Foundation Degrees
If you are a teaching assistant or a volunteer in a nursery, primary or secondary school and wish to work towards gaining a degree, we can offer a flexible study route for one day per week based at the Bognor Regis campus, which can lead to QTS.
On the course you will explore what it means to be involved in teaching and learning support, study child development, special educational needs and specific aspects of the curriculum. For example, you may look at how children become writers, how the curriculum is designed to enable this process and the role of TLS in their development.
If you have achieved HLTA status, you can may be able to use your status as credit towards the Foundation Degree in Teaching and Learning Support.
Tim, a third year student, said “This course has been a brilliant progressive step towards a teaching degree while still keeping full time employment.”
