Childcare

The University of Chester has its own nurseries on the Chester (Kingsway) and Warrington campuses.

High quality care and education is offered for children aged 0-5 years.

  • Age range – High quality care and education is offered for children aged 0-5 years.
  • Meals are included in the fee and are prepared according to the needs of the child.
  • Opening hours – Monday to Friday, 8.00am until 6.00pm, all year round except bank holidays.

Chester (Kingsway) Campus

The University of Chester Nursery opened in 1991 at the Chester Campus, and has an excellent reputation for the high quality care and education of children aged three months to five years. The Full Day Care Nursery is situated in the Kingsway buildings, and has a dedicated team of highly trained staff.

Warrington Campus

The Full Day Care Nursery at our Warrington Campus opened in September 2006 and offers high quality care and education of children aged three months to five years. The Nursery is situated in its own grounds within the Warrington Campus, and has a dedicated team of highly trained staff.

Applying for a place

Students can apply for a subsidised nursery place and may elect to use the service term time only dependent on their programme of study.

Disability Support

    Disability Support provides confidential information, advice and guidance to disabled students. This includes students with specific learning differences, long standing health conditions, mental health difficulties, Autistic Spectrum Disorder and sensory difficulties.

Specialist staff on both the Chester and Warrington campuses support students in identifying the most appropriate solutions to potential barriers to learning.

Disability Support is keen to ensure all students benefit fully from university life and achieve their learning potential. Specialist staff on both the Chester and Warrington campuses support students in identifying the most appropriate solutions to potential barriers to learning. This may include creation of an Inclusion Plan.
