The Department of Chemistry is located on Lensfield Road, at the south of the city. Please visit the Department’s reception when you arrive, and they will contact the person you are visiting.

Please note that there is very limited parking availability at the Department. If you require a parking space, please contact your host in advance to arrange this.

Getting to the Department

By bike

If you are able, why not bring your bike?  There are plenty of cycle routes and cycle lanes in Cambridge and cycling also helps you beat the traffic.  The whole of the front cycle parking area is available for use by visitors and students.

By train

Train timetables are available at the National Rail website. There are regular trains from London King’s Cross and London Liverpool Street. The train station is approximately 0.7 miles from the Department; please see Google Maps for the walking route from the train station. Alternatively, if you prefer to take a taxi, there is a taxi rank immediately outside the train station.

By bus

The main Cambridge bus station is located at Drummer Street. The bus station is approximately 0.6 miles from the Department; please see
